John Chesnut Sr. Park Lake – Palm Harbor, Florida

Decided to make a stop at John Chesnut Sr. Park on the way home from work today. I really liked this scene, the blending of green and yellow, plus reflection in the water was a nice touch. Unfortunately the water wasn’t completely still which created a blurring effect. This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, captured handheld with my Sony A6000 and SEL1018. I look forward to responding to your comments so if you like my work please Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Testing out my Brand New Sony Lens (SEL1018)

I have been shooting photos with the same kit lens (SEL1650) for almost a year now, it was the lens that came with my Sony Nex-6. The SEL1650 is a great beginner lens but if I was trying to get better quality images I knew I had to upgrade my glass. After researching for months I made up my mind on the SEL1018, it has great reviews but it was tough to justify the $850 price. It went on sale last week for $750, plus Read More +

Throwback Thursday “Jetty Sunset”

My TBT (Throwback Thursday) for this week is another photo from 2014 taken on Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida. This time around I was looking for a new spot, after driving around the park for 20 minutes I decided to park in a different lot and stumbled upon this jetty. This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, captured handheld with my Sony Nex-6 and SELP1650. If you like my work please Like ✔ Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Throwback Thursday “Honeymoon Island Storm”

My TBT (Throwback Thursday) for this week is a photo from 2014 taken on Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida. The sun had already set and I was waiting to see how the Golden Hour would look like, after waiting about 20 minutes and I was rewarded with this view! This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, taken with my Sony Nex-6 and SELP1650. If you like my work please Like ✔ Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Shrimp Risotto

A few years ago I decided to give culinary school a shot. I attended “The Art Institute of Tampa”, I enjoyed the culinary program but ultimately decided that a career in the food industry just wasn’t for me. Just this week I decided I would combine the Chef in me with the Photographer. I will be cooking meals, sharing photos of the process and the finished meal. So here we go, the first meal I will be sharing with you guys is my first attempt Read More +

Sushi @ Joto Japanese Restaurant

The past week I was on a business trip for work, I took my camera with but the few times that I went out to capture the “Sunrise” & “Sunset” it was completely overcast. Since I haven’t been getting lucky with the weather outside I had to resort to shooting indoors. The photos I am sharing today are from “Joto Japanese Restaurant” in Clearwater, Florida.  This place was awesome back in the day! Don’t get me wrong, the food is still great and the servers Read More +

Hyatt Regency Sarasota Pier

Good Morning everyone! I went out early this morning to shoot the sunrise but the clouds were super thick and it was very foggy which makes for an awful photo. Here is an image of the Hyatt Regency Sarasota Pier from last year. This photo was shot handheld with my Sony Nex-6, it is composed of 3 bracketed exposures. Thanks for looking and if you like my work please Like ✔ Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Philippe Park – Safety Harbor, Florida

I knew it was going to be cold this morning but I wasn’t ready for it to be 45°, for Florida this is considered cold weather. I rushed to get ready, grabbed my gear and hopped in the car. I was running late, I had to go to a spot that I was familiar with, so I headed to Safety Harbor. As I was approaching my regular spot I noticed that sky was fairly clear, I have shot the same scene many times so I Read More +

Honeymoon Island State Park – Dunedin, Florida

One of my favorite shoots last year took place at Honeymoon Island State Park, Honeymoon Island is located in Dunedin, Florida. The island was first discovered by Spanish Explorers in 1530, the first known visitors recorded were from the Tocobaga Tribe. In 1880 the island had received its first name “Hog Island” and it wasn’t until the 1940’s that it was officially known as Honeymoon Island. How crazy is that?!? I had no idea that this park has been around for so long, I now Read More +

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Roll

Everyone I know knows that I have a MASSIVE sweet tooth but honestly who doesn’t love a good dessert?!?! I haven’t been using my macro lens anywhere near as much as I should have so I will be sharing photos of all kinds of food through my blog. Prepare to get HUNGRY!

Morning Dew at Safety Harbor, Florida

Yesterday I was able to make in time to capture the sunrise, I also messed around with a few macro shots with my kit lens (SELP1650). I did not have enough time to switch lenses otherwise I would have used my dedicated macro lens (SEL30M35). The image above is 3 bracketed exposures shot handheld, yes handheld. I have been using this technique to get angles that would otherwise very difficult with a tripod and I have gotten some great shots that way. Let me know Read More +
