This weeks sunsets have been gorgeous, I made it out of work just in time to capture a glimpse each day. This was taken at the Gandy Bridge in Tampa.
It feels really good to be back at it again, I think I finally found something that truly makes me happy. When I am out taking photos I feel all my worries and fears subside as I focus on natures beauty. I have been fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful place where every morning and every night is a sight to see. It still baffles me how many people take it for granted on a daily basis.
Growing up in the Tampa Bay Area I thought I knew the area pretty well but I continue to find new spots to photograph. Last night I went by the Tampa International Airport and I was able to capture some great photos. Here is one of those photos. This photo is composed of 7 bracketed exposures, then merged in Photomatix and finally edited in Lightroom.

I went out last night after work to try and get some more photos with the A7 II. I guess I am lame since I ended up at Sand Key State Park again. I am always looking for new spots to shoot but have been struggling to find new locations around where I live. The first photo is 1 exposure, cropped and lightly touched up in Lightroom. The 2nd photo is composed of 3 exposures, merged in Photomatix and touched up in Lightroom.
This past Sunday, I saw some dramatic clouds earlier in the day, I knew that would make for a good sunset! I left my house around 5 PM, that gave me about 2 hours to find a spot and set up. I really wanted to get some photos from Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach but due to all the spring breakers there was no where to park. I have never shot at this spot before, I found some nice rocks and headed

With the recent time change I am now able to shoot photos after work. Last week during work I noticed some nice clouds, I knew that it would be a good day to go shoot the sunset. Here is a sample of what I was able to capture. While I was shooting the sunset, this huge roll cloud formed over me. It was gone within a couple minutes!
I was asked to drive a friend to a party last week and then pick them up a few hours later. Instead of going back home and waiting, I decided to walk around Downtown Tampa to try and get some practice with long exposures. What do you guys think, which photo do you prefer? The black & white or the color?
I captured this beautiful photo a few weeks back. I was waiting to share this in hopes that I would find the SD card that had all the shots from this set but had no such luck. The sun lined up perfectly with this little tree, poor thing is struggling to survive. As always, thanks for looking & feel free to share!
My “Throwback Thursday” is a photo I captured mid last year at Vinoy Park. I arrived to the park 20-30 minutes prior to sunrise, I could tell immediately that it wasn’t going to be anything out of the ordinary because there was barely any clouds. At the time I was still new to the whole photography thing and was trying all kinds of different shots, I had gotten pretty good at taking bracketed photos handheld (takes some patience). As I worked the scene, I noticed that the

I was in Downtown Tampa last week and I had some extra time to kill so I went exploring. First shot was taking on the William F. Poe Parking garage. I thought it would be cool to show off the whats in front & behind me, I am really starting to like the SEL1018 lens! The second shot was taken from my car window while I was at a stop light. I really liked how the S. H. Kress and Co. Building Logo looked, everything else just

This past weekend I went out with some friends to get footage for an upcoming video for “Tampa Bay is Awesome”. We were out for a good 10 hours all around the Tampa Bay Area, from Downtown Tampa to St. Pete Beach. I would have liked to spend more time taking photos of all the spots but we were mainly out to get video footage with my friends drone. We filmed 2 videos, the first being the making of and the other being the actual promotional video.

Last year I got this photo off the Gandy Bridge in Tampa, Florida, I didn’t think much of it at first. After a few months had passed, I went to edit some photos from the set and I realized what I had captured. After sharing this photo on 500px.com, I was contacted by some people who do the marketing for “Church’s Chicken”. Being brand new to the photography scene (about 2-3 months of shooting experience), I had no experience with selling prints so I agreed to allow
