UpinSmoke – St. Petersburg, FL Sony A7II + Laowa 9mm
I captured another gorgeous sunrise earlier last week but unfortunately the iPhone 6 Plus does no justice for how it really looked in person. This timelapse was taken right under the Courtney Campbell Causeway overlooking Downtown Tampa. Make sure to watch in HD and turn up the volume! Music: Activa – You Are Here (feat. Julie Harrington – Ambient Mix)
It feels really good to be back at it again, I think I finally found something that truly makes me happy. When I am out taking photos I feel all my worries and fears subside as I focus on natures beauty. I have been fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful place where every morning and every night is a sight to see. It still baffles me how many people take it for granted on a daily basis.
I went out last night after work to try and get some more photos with the A7 II. I guess I am lame since I ended up at Sand Key State Park again. I am always looking for new spots to shoot but have been struggling to find new locations around where I live. The first photo is 1 exposure, cropped and lightly touched up in Lightroom. The 2nd photo is composed of 3 exposures, merged in Photomatix and touched up in Lightroom.
I captured this beautiful photo a few weeks back. I was waiting to share this in hopes that I would find the SD card that had all the shots from this set but had no such luck. The sun lined up perfectly with this little tree, poor thing is struggling to survive. As always, thanks for looking & feel free to share!
I was in Downtown Tampa last week and I had some extra time to kill so I went exploring. First shot was taking on the William F. Poe Parking garage. I thought it would be cool to show off the whats in front & behind me, I am really starting to like the SEL1018 lens! The second shot was taken from my car window while I was at a stop light. I really liked how the S. H. Kress and Co. Building Logo looked, everything else just Read More +
This past weekend I went out with some friends to get footage for an upcoming video for “Tampa Bay is Awesome”. We were out for a good 10 hours all around the Tampa Bay Area, from Downtown Tampa to St. Pete Beach. I would have liked to spend more time taking photos of all the spots but we were mainly out to get video footage with my friends drone. We filmed 2 videos, the first being the making of and the other being the actual promotional video. Read More +

My fiancée recently got a new job in Downtown St. Petersburg and she is constantly telling me about all the cool “Art” on the buildings.
