Clearwater Beach, Florida (Sony A7 II)

I went out last night after work to try and get some more photos with the A7 II. I guess I am lame since I ended up at Sand Key State Park again. I am always looking for new spots to shoot but have been struggling to find new locations around where I live. The first photo is 1 exposure, cropped and lightly touched up in Lightroom. The 2nd photo is composed of 3 exposures, merged in Photomatix and touched up in Lightroom.

John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk

This past Sunday, I saw some dramatic clouds earlier in the day, I knew that would make for a good sunset! I left my house around 5 PM, that gave me about 2 hours to find a spot and set up. I really wanted to get some photos from Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach but due to all the spring breakers there was no where to park. I have never shot at this spot before, I found some nice rocks and headed Read More +

Daylight Savings Sunset

With the recent time change I am now able to shoot photos after work. Last week during work I noticed some nice clouds, I knew that it would be a good day to go shoot the sunset. Here is a sample of what I was able to capture. While I was shooting the sunset, this huge roll cloud formed over me. It was gone within a couple minutes!

Throwback Thursday “Jetty Sunset”

My TBT (Throwback Thursday) for this week is another photo from 2014 taken on Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, Florida. This time around I was looking for a new spot, after driving around the park for 20 minutes I decided to park in a different lot and stumbled upon this jetty. This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, captured handheld with my Sony Nex-6 and SELP1650. If you like my work please Like ✔ Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Sand Key Park Sunset – Clearwater Beach, Florida

With the sunset getting later each day I am finally able to start shooting sunsets again due to my work schedule. I left work and decided to head towards Clearwater Beach, I have yet to get a nice photo of Pier 60. I figured with the Gasparilla parade going on parking wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong, the main parking lot was full…again…Its always full… I had 20 minutes left to get to a spot,  setup & shoot. I ended up at Sand Key Park, since Read More +

Honeymoon Island State Park – Dunedin, Florida

One of my favorite shoots last year took place at Honeymoon Island State Park, Honeymoon Island is located in Dunedin, Florida. The island was first discovered by Spanish Explorers in 1530, the first known visitors recorded were from the Tocobaga Tribe. In 1880 the island had received its first name “Hog Island” and it wasn’t until the 1940’s that it was officially known as Honeymoon Island. How crazy is that?!? I had no idea that this park has been around for so long, I now Read More +

Sunset @ Siesta Key Beach, Florida (2014 Vacation)

Last month I took a vacation and what better place then Siesta Key, Florida. Unfortunately I did not get to shoot as much as I wanted to but I did get lucky the one day that I did. This shot was captured off of Ocean Blvd on a private beach. There was no parking so I had my fiancee drop me off and I spent about an hour walking around shooting different spots. At one point I was 3 shots in and the waves pushed Read More +
