Front Row Sunset Seats

It feels really good to be back at it again, I think I finally found something that truly makes me happy. When I am out taking photos I feel all my worries and fears subside as I focus on natures beauty. I have been fortunate enough to live in such a beautiful place where every morning and every night is a sight to see. It still baffles me how many people take it for granted on a daily basis.

Testing out my Brand New Sony Lens (SEL1018)

I have been shooting photos with the same kit lens (SEL1650) for almost a year now, it was the lens that came with my Sony Nex-6. Hyatt Regency Sarasota Pier

Good Morning everyone! I went out early this morning to shoot the sunrise but the clouds were super thick and it was very foggy which makes for an awful photo. Here is an image of the Hyatt Regency Sarasota Pier from last year. This photo was shot handheld with my Sony Nex-6, it is composed of 3 bracketed exposures. I did not have enough time to switch lenses otherwise I would have used my dedicated macro lens (SEL30M35). The image above is 3 bracketed exposures shot handheld, yes handheld. I have been using this technique to get angles that would otherwise very difficult with a tripod and I have gotten some great shots that way. Let me know Read More +

Good Morning!

I am really happy with how it has turned out but I am far from done. With that said, I decided to make another promise to myself. I work 8am-6pm during the week and with the current time change it is impossible for me to shoot the sunset so I will be waking up early to Read More +
