Last night I went by the Tampa International Airport and I was able to capture some great photos. Here is one of those photos. This photo is composed of 7 bracketed exposures, then merged in Photomatix and finally edited in Lightroom.

I was waiting to share this in hopes that I would find the SD card that had all the shots from this set but had no such luck. The sun lined up perfectly with this little tree, poor thing is struggling to survive. As always, thanks for looking & feel free to share!

So lets get straight to the food, for appetizers we ordered Okra Fries & Jalapeno Corn Beer Quick Bread. The Okra Fries were better then expected and the Jalapeno Bread was amazing, I regret not ordering more to take home!

Shame on me for not getting photos of our beverages, the beer is brewed in house and was very good.

For our main course we decided on the Ulele Burger for my fiancé and the Waterworks Meatloaf for me.

The mashed potatoes were nicely seasoned and the crispy onions added nice layer of texture.

Whenever we go out a to a new restaurant we always order a specialty dessert, and we were definitely going to continue that trend by ordering the Candied Duck Bacon Maple Fried Ice Cream!

All the portions were a good size, we ended up taking some food home. (Obviously we devoured the ice cream :D) Our server was very friendly and was always there when we needed something. The total cost for 2 appetizers, 2 lunch meals, 1 dessert and 3 draft beers was just under $70 before tip. I highly recommend you give Ulele a visit next time you are in the Downtown Tampa/Ybor area!

This past weekend I went out with some friends to get footage for an upcoming video for “Tampa Bay is Awesome”.

We were out for a good 10 hours all around the Tampa Bay Area, from Downtown Tampa to St. Pete Beach. I would have liked to spend more time taking photos of all the spots but we were mainly out to get video footage with my friends drone. We filmed 2 videos, the first being the making of and the other being the actual promotional video.

Since both videos are still being edited I cant share them but I can share some of my photos. The first photo is a shot of the historic Centro Ybor building which is currently a Muvico theater, I think it came out rather nice even with the sun blowing out the scene. The second photo is a shot of the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. I have been wanting to capture this scene for a while, I will be making another trip soon to get some better photos of the museum.

The last photo I am sharing is my first attempt at abstract photography, the structure is actually the Skypoint Building in Downtown Tampa.

Decided to make a stop at John Chesnut Sr. Park on the way home from work today. I really liked this scene, the blending of green and yellow, plus reflection in the water was a nice touch. Unfortunately the water wasn’t completely still which created a blurring effect. This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, captured handheld with my Sony A6000 and SEL1018. I look forward to responding to your comments so if you like my work please Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

The SEL1018 has a sweet spot between 12-16mm & f/8-f/11, this photo was taken with the following settings: ISO100, 12mm, f/8. It composed of 3 exposures captured handheld. I took about 40-50 photos last night but I can already see a huge improvement in the clarity & color accuracy compared to the SEL1660.

The post Testing out my Brand New Sony Lens (SEL1018) first appeared on Dmitry Bubis - Photographer and Content Creator.

With the sunset getting later each day I am finally able to start shooting sunsets again due to my work schedule. I left work and decided to head towards Clearwater Beach, I have yet to get a nice photo of Pier 60. I figured with the Gasparilla parade going on parking wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong, the main parking lot was full…again…Its always full… I had 20 minutes left to get to a spot, setup & shoot. I ended up at Sand Key Park, since Read More +

I had 20 minutes left to get to a spot, setup & shoot. I ended up at Sand Key Park, since there was no other option. After paying $5 to park I started looking to find a good angle of the sunset. The sun was setting directly in the middle of the beach, which was bad for me because I had planned to shoot near the jetty. I walked back to the entrance and just watched the sunset, thinking “what a waste of time this was”. I was wrong again, only this time it was to my advantage. I was at the right place at the right time.
