Philippe Park – Safety Harbor, Florida

Philippe Park by Dmitry Bubis

I knew it was going to be cold this morning but I wasn’t ready for it to be 45°, for Florida this is considered cold weather. I rushed to get ready, grabbed my gear and hopped in the car. I was running late, I had to go to a spot that I was familiar with, so I headed to Safety Harbor. As I was approaching my regular spot I noticed that sky was fairly clear, I have shot the same scene many times so I wanted a different scenery. I drove around on the main road that overlooks the “Old Tampa Bay” and wound up at “Philippe Park”.

As soon as I stepped out of my car the cold breeze hit me, I instantly regretted not dressing up warmer. I found a spot, set up my tripod and started taking photos. After shooting a few different angles I couldn’t feel my fingers anymore, I went back into my car to warm up. It was at this point that I contemplated on just leaving but I decided to stay and I am glad that I did.

This photo was shot handheld with my Sony A6000, it is composed of 3 bracketed exposures.
