John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk

This past Sunday, I saw some dramatic clouds earlier in the day, I knew that would make for a good sunset! I left my house around 5 PM, that gave me about 2 hours to find a spot and set up. I really wanted to get some photos from Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach but due to all the spring breakers there was no where to park. I have never shot at this spot before, I found some nice rocks and headed Read More +

Daylight Savings Sunset

With the recent time change I am now able to shoot photos after work. Last week during work I noticed some nice clouds, I knew that it would be a good day to go shoot the sunset. Here is a sample of what I was able to capture. While I was shooting the sunset, this huge roll cloud formed over me. It was gone within a couple minutes!

Messing Around with Long Exposures (Downtown Tampa)

I was asked to drive a friend to a party last week and then pick them up a few hours later. Instead of going back home and waiting, I decided to walk around Downtown Tampa to try and get some practice with long exposures. What do you guys think, which photo do you prefer? The black & white or the color?

St. Petersburg, Florida – Festivals of Speed 2015

I had the pleasure of going to the Festivals of Speed in St. Petersburg, Florida, I captured over 300 photos and I will be editing them later this week. All photos were taken handheld with my Sony A6000 & SEL1018 lens (3 bracketed exposures, merged with Photomatix & finished in Lightroom).     Thanks for checking out my page, if you like my work please share this with your friends!

Sunset from Al Palonis Park

I captured this beautiful photo a few weeks back. I was waiting to share this in hopes that I would find the SD card that had all the shots from this set but had no such luck. The sun lined up perfectly with this little tree, poor thing is struggling to survive. As always, thanks for looking & feel free to share!

Killing time in Downtown Tampa

I was in Downtown Tampa last week and I had some extra time to kill so I went exploring. First shot was taking on the William F. Poe Parking garage. I thought it would be cool to show off the whats in front & behind me, I am really starting to like the SEL1018 lens! The second shot was taken from my car window while I was at a stop light. I really liked how the S. H. Kress and Co. Building Logo looked, everything else just Read More +

Ulele – Tampa Restaurant

“Ulele (pronounced You-lay-lee) celebrates the vibrant fusion of ingredients from Florida waters and land once home to many Native Americans, including the young princess Ulele. Expect intricately flavored, visually appealing dishes prepared on the 10′ diameter barbacoa grill.” I was in downtown Tampa with my fiancé and we were both starving, we couldn’t decide on a place to eat. So it was up to me to pick a spot. I decided on Ulele, after constantly seeing my friends post photos and rave about the good food I knew it would Read More +

Filming for TampaBayisAwesome.com

This past weekend I went out with some friends to get footage for an upcoming video for “Tampa Bay is Awesome”. We were out for a good 10 hours all around the Tampa Bay Area, from Downtown Tampa to St. Pete Beach. I would have liked to spend more time taking photos of all the spots but we were mainly out to get video footage with my friends drone. We filmed 2 videos, the first being the making of and the other being the actual promotional video. Read More +

John Chesnut Sr. Park Lake – Palm Harbor, Florida

Decided to make a stop at John Chesnut Sr. Park on the way home from work today. I really liked this scene, the blending of green and yellow, plus reflection in the water was a nice touch. Unfortunately the water wasn’t completely still which created a blurring effect. This photo is composed of 3 Bracketed Exposure, captured handheld with my Sony A6000 and SEL1018. I look forward to responding to your comments so if you like my work please Comment ✔ Share ✔ Follow ✔

Testing out my Brand New Sony Lens (SEL1018)

I have been shooting photos with the same kit lens (SEL1650) for almost a year now, it was the lens that came with my Sony Nex-6. The SEL1650 is a great beginner lens but if I was trying to get better quality images I knew I had to upgrade my glass. After researching for months I made up my mind on the SEL1018, it has great reviews but it was tough to justify the $850 price. It went on sale last week for $750, plus Read More +

Fine Art @ Downtown St. Petersburg Florida

My fiancée recently got a new job in Downtown St. Petersburg and she is constantly telling me about all the cool “Art” on the buildings. We finally made it out there this past weekend, I got some cool photos but I plan on going back sometime in the near future to get more! The photo I am sharing with you is composed of 3 bracketed photos, shot handheld with my Sony A6000 & SEL30M35 lens. Leave me a comment, I would love to read your feedback. If you Read More +

Sand Key Park Sunset – Clearwater Beach, Florida

With the sunset getting later each day I am finally able to start shooting sunsets again due to my work schedule. I left work and decided to head towards Clearwater Beach, I have yet to get a nice photo of Pier 60. I figured with the Gasparilla parade going on parking wouldn’t be an issue. I was wrong, the main parking lot was full…again…Its always full… I had 20 minutes left to get to a spot,  setup & shoot. I ended up at Sand Key Park, since Read More +
